I don't know if I ever explained what happened back in March with my wrist or not. So if I've already talked about it, forgive me. So one morning while working the truck at work I went to toss some empty boxes in the compactor. I felt kind of a twinge and then shooting pain up my arm and down into my knuckles. It instantly swelled. So I went and put ice on it for a bit and continued to work. And then continued to go for a few more days with pain and swelling before I went to the dr. She said that it didn't seem right, opened and L&I claim and referred me to occupational therapy. After months of fighting with L&I, they decide to send me to their independent dr for an evaluation, which was in my favor (amazing!) I finally got an MRI last Thursday and I got my results in the mail today. I have a tear in the scapholunate ligament and a smaller tear in the triangular fibro-cartilage complex. So, looks like it's surgery for sure. As long as it fixes it and I can do things like type and more importantly cook and decorate cakes again pain free, I'll be happy.
