oh, my, gawd. you're awesome. just thought you should know. Thank you, thank you very much! It turned out quite well considering what I was working against (humidity and time). My children try to get me to be all cool like "ace of cakes" but I don't have the arm stamina to do that kind of detail work any longer. It about killed me making those two pieces (which was actually four, I made two of each).

nah, my birthday was on Friday and I've been in a lot of pain so I have been staying away from my computer. This chair kills me. It's made for a larger individual than I am. If I don't quite make sense, I'm on my muscle relaxers and vicodin and I barely slept last night.
On that note, I've decided that I should practice making pies. I'm horrible at it, so maybe if I make a bunch of them, I'll figure out the secret to what I'm doing wrong.

you can't mess up a pie, i've no clue what you are talking about. Oh my, you've never had one of my pies!!! lol... Somehow, some way, even frozen pies, I screw up!!! Every single one the damn crust is raw and/or soggy and the center of the pie isn't always cooked through. I don't get it. I can follow any recipe or baking instructions to the T and still screw it up. I just don't get it.

If you're following the directions exactly, I wonder if the problem is your oven. I'd make someone who never ruins a pie come to your house and get them to make a pie for you. No matter what the outcome, you'll have pie, and you didn't have to make it.

yeah i bet it's the oven in which it was cooked, or that fact you was using frozen pie when you have the obvious ability to make amazing pies from scratch, whichever.

No matter what the outcome, you'll have pie, and you didn't have to make it. well, not sure. It's every oven I've tried it in. Maybe it's just pumpkin pies that I have issues with. Hmmmm. I'll have to really start testing out theories soon.
