Here are a few things you should know about this board and the people on it:
1. This is a board for people who are in pain. This includes physical, emotional, mental, or even sympathetic pain. Permanent and temporary. Which basically means everyone on the planet can join.
2. Strength with Pain started out as Strong Sisters with Pain, but was adjusted to be a bit less sexist.
3. This is not a corporation, a nonprofit, or a business. I will never ask for money for participation in this board. If you would like to advertise your business, that can be arranged, we must support each other in every way we can.
4. I, too, am in chronic pain all the time. And this is my board. I, and whatever Moderators i appoint, will do our best to be fair, respectful, and helpful when dealing with any issues that arise.
5. I will not tolerate trolls, bots, spam, or bullshit. If i decide you are one of the aforementioned, you will be dealt with swiftly.
6. Be kind to each other, we all hurt. But please keep in mind that this board is all inclusive, which means there will be many different religions, political viewpoints, and personalities. Accept that you will not always agree with everything that is said on this board. Agree to disagree, and try not to be snarky about it.
There may be more, but my meds are kicking in..... ;D

By the way, here is the basic mission statement, carried over from the old group which has been adjusted to be gender inclusive (men hurt too!):
Strong Sisters with Pain - This is the crest of fierce women who don't allow their pain to run their lives. We search for ways to manage, move past and even cure our pain. We are all at different steps in our journeys, and no two cases are the same.
But we are strong, and refuse to back down and give up. We give support and receive support from others.
Everyone has pain, no one person should feel that their pain is less than others. A hangnail is as bad as a titanium rod in a leg is as bad as Fibromyalgia, etc.
We are all equal in our pain, no person on earth has not felt some sort of pain. We can all relate to one another through shared experiences, and shared feelings.
All are welcome. You are welcome to share as much as you like, or as little as you like. Just remember, we are here for you no matter what.
