That's just one of the many things you'll learn about me.
"Pahz" is what my initials (married name) sounds like when its spoken. Before pain took my ability to draw and paint, I'd sign my art with my initals "PAS". Since my photography is now my artistic outlet, I chose the phonetic spelling of my initials.
I am currently 41 years old. I had a total knee replacement in March of 2009 (I was 39). Five years ago, I started having issues with pain and other things that mimicked endocrine problems. Eventually, that led to a diagnosis of fibromyalgia. The official fibro diagnosis was on June 28, 2010. That's right, it took five years to get a proper diagnosis.
I also am married to a disabled Gulf War Vet. Its a long and convoluted story that you will eventually hear, but for now, I'm leaving it at this: He had a stroke when he was 28 years old. He's now almost 43. He's paralyzed on his right side, walks with a limp, has no use of his right arm/hand. He's a bear to live with and all I can say is I haven't yet smothered him with a pillow.
I have three kids- Kat, 21; Jase almost 19; and Ceej, 17 (her real name is Christine). Kat's in college and just moved out of our house. Jase graduated high school in June (2010) and Ceej is a senior this year.
I have four Chihuahuas and one German Shepherd. (we also have four cats). Three of the four Chis are mother, father, child to each other. The fourth is just Gregg.
Enough about me... for now... For now!

My other daughter I apparently had when I was eleven years old. I was precocious... and mature.

Hey P...I need to thank you...before I started reading your blogs and other posts, I didn't know how to begin to describe what fibromyalgia feels like...I think part of me thought people wouldn't believe me because it is so hard to explain and it's not the same all the time, it changes all the time...so, thank you for helping me begin to find my voice...Deanie

I'm glad I could help. If you read yesterday's blog, you'll be happy to know that urge to flay my skin with a potato peeler has passed, but the ice-pick in the joints remains.
