Well, the day started beautifully. I woke with minimal pain (like a 1-2!!) and made it to work almost on time. I guess in the back of my brain somewhere I must have decided that since I wasn't in my usual pain that I should injure myself. So I slice my tip of my index finger and then down along the nail bed on a cardboard box. No idea how I managed to cut myself where I did trying to pick up a box... I bleed, of course. (It's been hurting all day long. fabulous.) So I slap a band-aid on it and keep working. Did I mention it's freight day at work and I work on the truck crew? Yeah. Great job for someone with fibromyalgia. heavy boxes, lifting, bending, pulling... good times. Great day to start near pain free though. Tonight, it's another story. By noon I was starting to ache... crept up to a 4ish.... by 7 I was about a 6.... now, after vicodin, I'm at a 7, with a radiating pain from my right head, neck, shoulder, arm, into hand. It feels like there's a drawstring in there, and it's being pulled, pulling my hand towards my head from within. the tension is horrific. I hate you truck day! I hate you stupid people who put heavy boxes on the top of the pallets! I hate you stupid fibromyalgia! I hate you box that cut my finger! And I hate you pain that is making me be awake when I should be sleeping!

I wish there was a way for you to maybe get some of the physical part of your workload lightened. But if i know anything about employers and bosses, they'd use it as an excuse to can you.
You'd certainly qualify under the ADA, but i'm not sure if that's a road you'd want to take.
Maybe taking a hot soothing bath and a muscle relaxer would help. I'd give you one of mine, but.....hopefully your doc will be able to prescribe something that will help.
